Music legend sings Larkfleet’s praises for lifestyle-friendly development in Lincolnshire

Kiki Dee croppedMusic legend Kiki Dee has gone on the record with her praise for the lifestyle opportunities offered by a Larkfleet Homes development for people over 55 in Lincolnshire.

The popular singer was the star guest for a night of music and entertainment at The Croft in Bourne and was hugely impressed by the high quality of the development and everything it offers people who live there.

“What I really honestly believe about this kind of living is you need to have your privacy and you need to have support. Those are the two key words for me,” she said.

The Croft offers a variety of one and two-bedroom bungalows and two and three-bedroom chalets arranged around attractively landscaped courtyards and gardens. A refurbished manor house is the ‘hub’ of the development and is the perfect place for social activities, hobby classes and to meet friends for a catch-up. The location, community and facilities are ideal for the young at heart and those who want an independent and stylish way of life – with the availability of support if and when they need it.

The chart-topping singer was keen to praise each of these important features. Her own mother, Mary, had moved into a similar age-exclusive development in Yorkshire where she found a new lease of life, making friends with like-minded people.

Kiki Dee“There’s a song on my new album which is called ‘She’s Smiling Now’ and it’s about the experience of my mother finding that wonderful chapter in her life, after moving to an over 55s development.”

Kiki (left) was also impressed with the energy-efficient nature of the development’s properties and the fact that Larkfleet focuses on sustainability. “We have to preserve energy for our children’s children,” she said. “That’s an amazing thing and I love that.”

Referring to the lifestyle opportunities available to Croft residents, Kiki (64) said: “I’m two weeks older than Elton (John) and he never lets me forget it. The census from 2011 says there are approximately 53 million people in England and of those people one in six people are now 65, or 65 and over, which means it’s our time!”

“She recognised the benefits this type of living can offer residents as she has seen it first-hand through the experiences of her own mother. We are very pleased that Kiki, like our current residents, has so many positive things to say about The Croft.”

For people interested in buying a property at The Croft, Larkfleet offers a range of finance schemes and options which can be tailored to suit individual buyers, including ‘assisted move’ and ‘shared equity’ schemes.

If anyone wants to get first-hand insight of the development, they can ‘try out’ a Larkfleet property for a weekend – or a few days during the week. Just call The Croft on 01778 426995.
